Cinnaminson Committee Approves $1.4M In Capital Improvements

Cinnaminson Township Committee gave final approval to a $1.4 million spending plan for capital improvements at its meeting Monday night.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson Township Committee gave final approval to a $1.4 million spending plan for capital improvements at its meeting Monday night.

Township Committee unanimously approved a proposed bond ordinance that sets aside $1,495,000, including the borrowing of $1,420,250 in bonds or notes for the purchase of various pieces of equipment, and the completion of various improvement projects in the township.

There is a down payment of $74,750. The proposal includes:

  • $1,150,000 for street improvements;
  • $185,000 for the purchase of various heavy equipment, including a backhoe and a front end loader;
  • $90,000 for upgrades to township parks and recreation areas;
  • $25,000 for the purchase of equipment for the Public Safety Department, including tasers;
  • $20,000 for improvements to township buildings, including repairs to the library;
  • $15,000 for the purchase of equipment for the Department of Public Works, including a tire mounting machine and an oil filter canister press; and
  • $10,000 for the purchase of computers and related equipment.
