Cinnaminson High School Wrestling Team Set For State Playoffs

Cinnaminson visits Point Pleasant Boro in the first round of the playoffs Monday night, according to nj.com.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson High School wrestling team will ride a three-match win streak into the state tournament.

The Pirates are the seventh-seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com. Cinnaminson will visit No. 2 Point Pleasant Boro in the quarterfinals Monday night at 6 p.m.

The winner faces the winner of the match between No. 3 Rumson Fair-Haven and No. 6 Delran. South Plainfield is the No. 1 overall seed.

Cinnaminson is coming off lopsided victories over Holy Spirit, Haddon Heights and Holy Cross, according to nj.com. The Pirates are 15-12 overall.

A crucial cog for the Pirates’ wrestling team this year has been the performance of Nick Schuler. This season, Schuler told The Burlington County Times he’s more physical this season, and the best on top he’s ever been. He finished third in last year’s District 28 tournament.
