Cinnaminson Municipal Building To Reopen As Restrictions Loosen

CINNAMINSON, NJ — For the first time in more than a year, the Cinnaminson Township Municipal Building is set to reopen to the public, officials announced Monday night.

The municipal building will reopen on or about June 14, Cinnaminson Township Committeeman Paul Conda announced Monday night. The building has been closed since March of last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Masks and social distancing remain in place in state facilities, and we will require the same,” Conda said during Monday night’s committee meeting.

The announcement came on the same day Cinnaminson’s Recycling Center reopened. It is open Monday through Friday, and accepts paint, oil, light bulbs, electronics, batteries and tires.

The reopenings come as the outlook improves throughout the state and restrictions statewide continue to loosen.

As of Thursday, the outlook for the coronavirus in Burlington County is "moderate," according to the state Department of Health's "COVID-19 Activity Level Report," which is issued weekly. Read more here: NJ Report Shows 'Moderate' COVID Activity In At Least 8 Counties

As of Sunday, there have been 1,467 cases of the coronavirus and 42 coronavirus-related deaths in Cinnaminson since the pandemic began more than a year ago.

Countywide, there have been 38,924 cases and 807 deaths, with 94 probable deaths in the last year.

Also on Monday, Burlington County officials announced the return of Restaurant Week amid loosening restrictions.
