CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson police collected 165 pounds of old, unwanted prescription drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take-Back event on April 24, according to township officials.

The goal of the event is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription pills.

Anyone who missed the Drug Take-Back event can drop off unused and unwanted medications in the Cinnaminson Police Department's dropbox in the lobby of the police station, 900 Manor Road.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible method for disposing of unneeded and expired prescription pills. More information can be found at https://takebackday.dea.gov/.
