Cinnaminson Schools Await Safety Guidance For September Return
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is expected to release details on a Safe Return Plan Monday.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson Public School District returned to five days of in-person learning for all grade levels last month, and in the fall, all school districts will take the next step: the elimination of full-remote learning.

Cinnaminson Superintendent of Schools Stephen Cappello told Patch the district hasn’t received much feedback about the full return or the elimination of the full-remote option from parents.
The district hasn’t received guidance from the state as it relates to vaccinations or how to handle students who might still be at-risk for getting the coronavirus.

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is expected to release details on a Safe Return Plan Monday. School districts have been instructed to use this template, as well as guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) in planning their full return.
A formal plan crafted by the school district will have to be approved by the NJDOE and the local school board.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended the use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12-15 last week, and clinical trials continue for vaccinating students younger than 12.
Students can now get vaccinated at New Jersey's COVID-19 Vaccine Mega-Site at the Moorestown Mall, CVS pharmacies in New Jersey that have supplies of the Pfizer vaccine and the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Pemberton Township.
