Food Bank Of South Jersey Hosts Drive-Up Food Event Saturday
South Jersey residents can donate canned goods and non-perishable items at the Food Bank of South Jersey's headquarters in Pennsauken.
The Food Bank of South Jersey will host a drive-up food collection event Saturday, the organization announced. It will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Food Bank’s headquarters, 1501 John Tipton Boulevard in Pennsauken.
“People can drive up, and donate canned goods and non-perishable items,” the Food Bank said in a statement announcing the event. “This food collection supports our annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive with the National Association of Letter Carriers.”
Last year, the Food Bank distributed more than 22.5 million pounds of food to those in need in 2020, more than 7 million pounds more than the previous year.

This is the equivalent of 18.7 million meals to a population that saw food insecurity increase by 61,000 South Jersey residents since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Feeding America.
