Free Shred Event In Burlington County This Weekend

No e-waste will be accepted, and visitors must stay in their cars due to the coronavirus pandemic.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Burlington County is hosting a free shredding event this week, and unlike in the past, it will not be accepting any e-waste or batteries. E-waste includes televisions, computers and other similar items.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence.

Customers must remain in the cars at all times with face coverings on, and staff will unload vehicles for on-site shredding, officials said.

Residents are asked to only bring “confidential” documents, such as bank and credit card statements, tax returns and papers with account numbers.

No binders, plastic folders, computer disks or credit cards will be accepted. A maximum of four bags or boxes per car, weighing no more than 10 pounds each, will be accepted.

Material must be placed in the trunk or cargo area of vehicles. Previously shredded paper may also be recycled at this event.
