Funeral for Fallen N.J. State Trooper From Cinnaminson on Monday

The funeral for Sean Cullen, 31, is today.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- The funeral for a New Jersey State Trooper who was killed by a passing car during an accident investigation on 295 last week is set for today, March 14.

There will be a viewing for Sean Cullen at St. Charles Borromeo Church Branch Pike and Pomona Road in Cinnaminson on Monday, 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m., followed by his funeral mass at noon.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sean's name may be made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Road in Westampton, NJ, 08060.

Police announced the following road closures related to the funeral, which will take effect at 7 a.m.:

Branch Pike: Woodview to Riverton

North Fork Landing: Woodview to Branch Pike
Susan Drive: Cambridge to Branch Pike

Rt. 130 north from Riverton to Andover will have lane closures starting at 10 a.m.

Drivers should avoid the area if possible and plan alternate routes.

The 31-year-old Cullen died early Tuesday morning. He had responded to the scene of a crash and active car fire on southbound 295, milepost 23.4 in Deptford Township around 8:15 p.m. last Monday night, March 7.

He was walking near the scene of the crash when he was struck by a passing driver, who immediately stopped and cooperated with police.

Cullen, an all-American wrestler who graduated from Cinnaminson High School, died of head injuries at Cooper University Hospital in Camden shortly after 12:30 a.m.

He was engaged to be married to Aryn McCormick, and was the father of infant Seamus Cullen, according to his obituary posted on givnishfuneralhome.com.

He was the beloved son of Eamonn J. and Deirdre A. Cullen; brother of Garrett, Matthew and Jennifer (Neil) Kelleher; grandson of Elizabeth and the late Nicholas Cullen, and the late Jack and Lily Heavey; and the uncle of Jack, Fiona, Evelyn, Emma and Mackenzie.
