Longtime Cinnaminson Man Who Served In WWII Mourned

Dale L. Duffin passed away on Feb. 23, 2021, surrounded by his family, at the age of 98.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Dale L. Duffin passed away on Feb. 23, 2021, surrounded by his family, at the age of 98. Dale was a longtime resident of Moorestown and Cinnaminson until moving to the Medford Leas Communities in 2012.

Dale earned his BS degree in Engineering from Purdue University. He then entered the US Army, honorably serving as an infantry officer in the 42nd Infantry (Rainbow) Division during WWII. After the war, Dale returned home to Chicago, Illinois where he met and married his wife of 59 years, Marjorie (nee Wolfgram).

Dale worked for the Campbell Soup Co., retiring after over 25 years of service, in Cinnaminson, NJ.

He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Moorestown, an avid golfer and longtime member of the Moorestown Field Club and a dedicated volunteer for the Salvation Army.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many in the community.

Dale is survived by his children Kim Duffin Block, Scott (Marsha) Duffin and Laurie Duffin; grandchildren Andrew (Ashley) Block, Benjamin and Michael Block, Joshua (Chay) Duffin and Matthew (Taylor) Duffin, Megan (Jordan) Newman and great-grandchildren Brady and Bryce Newman.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family interment and service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 444 Camden Ave. Moorestown, NJ 08057.
