Mount Holly Township is proud to announce the return of the Mount Holly NJ Farmers Market for its third season in 2021 on Thursday, June 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. The market will be open every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. through the fall (September 30, 2021), and will feature a variety of local farmers, businesses/restaurants, live music and entertainment for people of all ages to enjoy.

“Over the past year, the global pandemic has impact so many aspects of our lives – the way we live, socialize, entertain ourselves, the way we do business and even how we function as a community,” says Mount Holly Township Mayor Jason Jones. “The time has come to unite as a community and reclaim the way we live here in Mount Holly. The opening of this market signifies a major, positive step in that direction – and I am proud of all the hard work our Market Directors have done to prepare for the opening of this year’s market for the enjoyment and benefit of both our local residents and all those throughout the greater Burlington County region.”

Mount Holly Recreation Director Sean Kennedy and Market Director David Hodges, the market’s co-organizers, have been working the past few months to prepare the market for this season’s opening.

“For the past two years, the Mount Holly NJ Farmers Market has prided itself on being the freshest, most diverse local market to purchase Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, cheese, flowers, herbs and prepared foods from local businesses and restaurants,” said Kennedy.

“I’m thrilled to see Mount Holly Township support our local farmers once more, as we kick off our 2021 market season on the 17th,” added Hodges “We promise to continue bringing a variety of local farmers, vendors, artists, artisans and entertainment to the market this year, as well as some new faces and businesses. We hope you all are as excited for this year’s Market season as we are!”

The Mount Holly NJ Farmers Market will be located in the municipal lot located off Park Drive by the intersection of Commerce Street – between Washington Street and Rancocas Road, directly behind the Mount Holly Township Municipal Building and Mount Holly Police Department.

The Mount Holly NJ Farmers Market is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) intended to increase opportunities for New Jersey farmers and growers across the state through various programs. Mount Holly received funds under the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) specifically, which supports direct producer-to-consumer marketing projects such as farmers markets, community-supported agriculture programs, roadside stands and agri-tourism.
