New Marijuana Dispensary Opens In Burlington County
Curaleaf opened its new facility in Edgewater Park, the company announced.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A new marijuana dispensary has opened in Burlington County, as local governing bodies continue to discuss how recreational marijuana will be regulated within their jurisdictions.
Curaleaf has opened a dispensary in Edgewater Park, the company announced last week. With the new site, Curaleaf said it has tripled the company’s cultivation capabilities to serve both the existing New Jersey medical market and the forthcoming adult-use market.
Its other facility, in Winslow Township, is now fully operational following its first harvest, the company announced. Another center will open in Central New Jersey later this summer, according to the company.

“We are thrilled to grow alongside New Jersey’s flourishing medical community and expand access to best-in-class cannabis products to patients in Edgewater Park,” Curaleaf CEO Joe Bayern said. “We continue to work closely with state leadership and regulators to create a successful and sustainable adult-use market, and our expansion positions us to meet the market’s increasing needs while creating hundreds of new jobs in the state.”
The announcement comes after officials in Cinnaminson introduced ordinances to permit marijuana dispensaries to open in the township, and to tax them. Moorestown Council was set to have a discussion about marijuana dispensaries Monday night.

Representatives from the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) union have been visiting municipalities across the state, touting Bayonne’s handling of dispensaries.
The proposal, a copy of which was supplied to Patch by a representative from UFCW Local 360, states that two retailers, one cultivation center and one processing plant are permitted in the city’s limits. The union calls it “the gold standard” for marijuana facilities.
The facility that will open in Edgewater Park is a 7,640-square-foot dispensary at 4237 Route 130 South and is open to all patients with a valid medical card, according to Curaleaf. It is opened from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. It can be reached at 609-232-7690 or at info.nj@curaleaf.com.
Curaleaf was founded in Massachusetts, and has grown to encompass 107 dispensaries nationally.
