NJ TRANSIT Alters South Jersey Bus Schedule
NJ TRANSIT is adjusting its South Jersey service to provide customers with additional travel options beginning Saturday, Aug. 31.

NEW JERSEY — NJ TRANSIT is adjusting its South Jersey service to provide customers with additional travel options to the Florence River LINE light rail station and a new hospital opening in Mullica Hill, the mass transportation service announced on Monday.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 31, service will be extended on Bus Route Nos. 409 and 413 to include stops at the Florence River LINE station. Bus Route No. 409 services Trenton-Willingboro-Philadelphia and will provide more trips between Philadelphia and Trenton with a 30-minute peak, a 45-minute midday and a 60-minute late evening weekday service. In addition, there will be hourly service on the weekends.
Currently, the No. 409 operates to and from Trenton every hour on weekdays and every two hours on weekends. This adjustment will include later evening service to and from Trenton in response to customer feedback. The route in Burlington City will be adjusted to operate via High Street between Broad Street and U.S. Highway 130 and service to Rancocas Street at Bridge Street in Willingboro will be eliminated due to low ridership. Bus Route No. 413 services Camden-Mt. Holly-Florence and all trips will be extended from Downtown Burlington City to the Florence River LINE Station, providing trips to the Haines Center.
Additionally, service on Bus Route No. 412, which services Sewell-Glassboro-Philadelphia, will be adjusted to provide service to the new Inspira Hospital on Route 322 in Mullica Hill, which is scheduled to open later this year. Service along Heston Road and Bowe Boulevard will be eliminated. All other bus stops will be serviced but the direction of travel will change for bus stops on Main Street, High Street and Ellis Street. Visit njtransit.com for more details on Bus Route No. 413.

The changes are being made at the request of customers, according to NJ TRANSIT.
“We have heard from our customers that they want bus service in South Jersey to include a stop at the River LINE’s Florence Station,’’ NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin Corbett said. “I am pleased that we were able to include those requests in this new bus service adjustment. By extending the service, customers will now have reduced wait times and can get to their final destinations faster.’’
