Over 100 Pets Adopted As Burlington County Clears The Shelter

The Burlington County Animal Shelter waived fees for adopting pets during the national event over the weekend.

A total of 107 animals were adopted during the Burlington County Animal Shelter’s Clear the Shelter event over the weekend, according to county officials. The shelter waived adoption fees on all animals in the shelter during the annual event, a nationwide adoption drive organized by NBC/Telemundo stations.

Between adoptions, transfers and reclaims a total of 107 animals left the shelter over the weekend, according to officials. Last year, the Burlington County Animal Shelter found 84 animals their forever homes during the event.

NBC and Telemundo launched the Clear the Shelter event as a way to offer low cost or completely waived fees in order to help local families find the perfect pet for them at an affordable cost, or no cost at all.
