Police Investigate Rash Of Car Burglaries In Cinnaminson

A string of car burglaries took place throughout Cinnaminson during the overnight hours of May 22, police said.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Several items were stolen from unlocked cars in a rash of car burglaries in Cinnaminson over the weekend, police said. The burglaries took place during the overnight hours of May 22, Cinnaminson police said.

“This has been an ongoing issue not only within our township, but other surrounding municipalities as well,” police said in a social media post. “If anyone has video that would help us in our investigation, please call our non-emergency number at 856-829-6666 and request to speak to an officer.”

They provided the following tips for keeping residents to keep their car safe:
  • Close your windows and LOCK your doors.
  • Remove all valuables or place them in your trunk.
  • Do not leave keys in vehicle.
  • Do not leave a car running.
  • If possible, remove mounting hardware out of sight. It could indicate to a thief that a device is inside the vehicle.

They also reminded residents to report any suspicious activity they see to the police department immediately by calling 856-829-6666 or 911 for crimes in progress.
