Remote, Hybrid Learning Continues At Rowan In Spring
Rowan University's 15-week spring semester will look much like the fall semester, mixing remote and in-person learning amid the pandemic.
GLASSBORO, NJ — Rowan University’s 15-week spring semester will look much like the fall semester as the academic year continues, mixing remote and in-person learning amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to school officials.
The semester began on Monday, a week later than it would under normal circumstances. All classes held during the first week of the semester will be held virtually.
After that, in-person classes will gradually resume, and continue at a reduced density. Remote options will remain available for many courses, as labeled in course schedules.

There will be four modes of delivery for courses, including Physical Presence Required; Physical Presence Optional; Fully Virtual with Meeting Time and Fully Virtual with No Meeting Time.
There will be no Spring Break, and the university is prepared to transition to fully remote instruction temporarily or for the remainder of the semester if need be.

“Just like last semester, we will be ready for the hands we are dealt,” Rowan Provost Tony Lowman said. “But I think we’re going to see a semester that’s going to end in a much more positive fashion. I think we’re going to be back doing more things like we’re used to doing as we move through the semester. I’m excited to get started and get moving.”
