Rep. Kim To Discuss NJ Reopening Tuesday Night

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Rep. Andy Kim (D-3) will host a telephone town hall to discuss New Jersey’s reopening plans next week, the congressman announced on Friday.
Kim will discuss New Jersey’s reopening ahead of the busy Memorial Day holiday and efforts in Congress to support our efforts to return to normal at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Kim will be joined by Sandra Lazzaro, Director of Business Development and Tourism for Ocean County who will talk about how Ocean County is reopening and what it means for visitors to the Shore.

“Memorial Day weekend is always important in New Jersey, but as we begin to emerge from this pandemic, it’s more important than ever,” said Congressman Kim. “Our businesses down the shore are a big economic driver for our neighbors in Ocean County, and I want to thank Sandra Lazzaro for joining to answer questions and to remind everyone that our Shore towns are open for business.”

The town hall comes one day before New Jersey will implement a complete removal of outdoor gathering limits, increase indoor gathering limits, and take other steps to return the state to a pre-pandemic normal.
The town hall also comes in the wake of funds being delivered from the Paycheck Protection Program and the Restaurant Revitalization Fund – both programs championed by Congressman Kim – which have helped small businesses keep employees on payroll and their doors open.
“These are optimistic times,” Kim said. “We’re seeing more and more people vaccinated and getting back to work. We still have a lot of work to do to get back to the normal we remember, and I look forward to hearing from people across Burlington and Ocean County on how we achieve that goal.”
