Rowan College Hosts Virtual Job Fair Thursday
Residents seeking work can browse through local jobs without taking a chance exposing themselves to the coronavirus later this week.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Residents seeking work can browse through local jobs without taking a chance exposing themselves to the coronavirus later this week.
Rowan College at Burlington County will host a Virtual Job Fair from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday. Those interested in participating can register at rcbc.edu/virtual-career-fair to attend as either a job seeker or an employer.
Those who register can see who’s attending. The fair will give job seekers and employers the chance to speak with each other virtually.

Current employer participants include Bancroft, Campaign for Working Families, Cenlar Federal Savings Bank, The Estee Lauder Companies and more, according to the college.
The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development saw 28,669 initial unemployment claims as of Oct. 17, Gov. Phil Murphy said at a news conference last week. That’s a decrease of about 400 from the previous week.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March, New Jersey has seen 1.7 million claims, and $16.7 billion in unemployment has been released.
