Sea Box In Cinnaminson Benefits From CARES Act Funding
Under the CARES Act, the federal government has awarded more than $2.4 billion to New Jersey companies.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — The federal government has sent more than $2.4 billion to companies in New Jersey for coronavirus relief efforts since Congress passed the CARES Act in March.
Cinnaminson-based Sea Box received $523,415 in funding, according to the Federal Procurement Data System.
It will receive funding from two contracting agencies, and received two payments under the Department of Veterans Affairs. Those payments were for $309,705 and $213,710.

The Defense Logistics Agency is also listed as a contracting agency, but no payments have been listed under this heading.
Congress passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27. In addition to direct aid to people who lost their jobs and the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses avoid laying off workers, the act included direct government spending for fighting the coronavirus.
