The redevelopment of the former Acme site on Route 130 in Cinnaminson is underway, officials said on Tuesday.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The redevelopment of the former Acme site on Route 130 in Cinnaminson is underway, officials announced on Tuesday. When it is complete, a child care center, self-storage facility and family casual restaurant will occupy the 14-acre piece of land, officials said.

Site work is already underway. When it is complete, construction will begin on the child care facility, according to officials.

“The redevelopment of the former Acme site is long overdue and has always been one of the top priorities of this administration,” Cinnaminson Mayor Ryan Horner said. “We are very excited to partner with Global Cinnaminson, LLC and pleased to see the project moving in a positive direction. This project underscores the Township Committee’s commitment to quality development throughout our community and specifically our Route 130 business corridor. At a time when we are all dealing with a global health pandemic, I am so thankful that my colleagues on the governing body and our professionals have continued to work hard on pushing our economic development initiatives forward. The projects will bring many jobs, increase our ratable base and greatly improve the overall streetscape of our community.”
