Soccer Champ, Delran Native Carli Lloyd Kicks 55-Yard Field Goal
You can watch the two-time World Cup champion midfielder nail the long kick here.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Women's soccer has been at the forefront of sports talks in the United States and worldwide since the US Women's National Team took home the world cup in July. And two-time World Cup champion and Delran native Carli Lloyd kept soccer in the news when she stopped by the Philadelphia Eagles training camp recently.
You've more than likely and unfortunately heard the derogatory and misogynistic phrase "throw like a girl." Well, at the camp Lloyd put a spin on that, showing how to kick like a girl.
The 37-year-old midfielder set up for a 55-yard-long field goal with the help of Eagles and Baltimore Ravens players (it was a joint camp day). Then, like a true world champ, Lloyd nails the football, sending it safely through the uprights for 3 points.

Eagles kicker Jake Elliot's longest field goal is 61 yards, so maybe the Birds should keep Lloyd in their back pocket.
