CINNAMINSON, NJ - Here’s a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library this week:

Monday, June 3:

STEMinist Superstars: Annie Easley: For ages 7 & up, stop by the STEM cart to learn about Annie Easleyand and make a craft to take home! Available all month.

Free Health Screenings: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: On the first Monday of each month, a registered nurse from Lourdes Health System will be in the meeting room to provide FREE health screenings and dispense health and wellness information. Walk-ins welcome!

Summer Cook Camp- Appetizer Edition:3 p.m. to 5 p.m.: This summer, join us each month to learn simple, no-oven-needed recipes you can make at home. On June 3rd we'll start off with herb-infused olive oil and bruschetta. Nutritional information will be made avavailable, please inform instructor of any food allergies prior to class. For ages 11 to 18. Registration is required.

Book Cafe: 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.: Gather with other book lovers to discuss your favorite books! In our June meeting, we’ll be having a book café. Let’s talk about what you have read recently. Get ideas about what you might like to read next. Please bring along a book you’ve enjoyed. New members are always welcome.

Tuesday, June 4:

Tai Chi: 10: 30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

NJ Comfort Partners Program:5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Learn about no cost energy efficient home improvements for income eligible NJ gas and electric customers that help reduce energy usage and save money!

Wednesday, June 5:

Baby and Toddler Time:10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: It’s time to shake, rattle, and roll! Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to stories, sing songs, and dance along at Baby and Toddler Time.

Scrabble Club: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!

IPhone & IPad Workshop Special Event: Synching Your Apple Devices: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: In this specialized session of the IPhone & IPad Workshop, we'll talk about synching your Apple devices. Please bring the Apple devices you have to class, including your Apple laptop, IPad and IPhone. Make sure they are fully charged and that you know your Apple/ITunes password.

Positive Psychology Meetup: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Welcome to a new discussion group for anyone interested in topics such as mindfulness, gratitude and happiness. Let's create a community of like-minded individuals who want to learn, laugh, grow, and share their stories of personal growth and the habits and techniques they find helpful.This is an informal gathering to exchange ideas, information, and suggestions for living a life of meaning and purpose. Obstacles come in all shapes and sizes, and having the tools to navigate life’s challenges can be the difference between simply surviving and truly living.

Some topics for discussion include: compassion, happiness, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, intention, gratitude, mindset, neuropsychology, stoicism, purpose, problem-solving, optimism, and mind management. Let's encourage and support one another along our journey to become our best selves!

Saturday, June 8:

Summer Fan Make & Take: Kids are invited to pop into the library any time on the 8th to create a fan to use this summer. Best for ages 4 to 12.
