METUCHEN, NJ — A section of Central Ave will be closed on Wednesday for bridge repairs, and it will likely cause traffic for commuters.
The road will be closed near the Conrail bridge, where Central meets Plainfield Road near St. Joe's High School. Traffic going north (out of the borough) will be detoured back to Main Street and to Rt. 27 to get to Grove Ave.
Drivers should avoid the area if they can.
