Chick-Fil-A Eyes South Plainfield Location
The restaurant was approved for several zoning variances at a Tuesday night meeting.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Chick-Fil-A is looking to open a new location in South Plainfield, and they're already getting support from the town.
The chicken restaurant has proposed a new location for Middlesex Mall on Stelton Road. It will have a drive-thru and will seat 110 customers. Several variances were approved at a zoning board meeting on Tuesday, including modifying the necessary amount of parking spots and sign heights.
"While we are still early in the process, we can confirm that we are actively pursuing our first location in South Plainfield. We look forward to working through the approval process with the City and hope to have the opportunity to serve the South Plainfield community delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality," Jackie Jags, a Chick-Fil-A spokesperson, told Patch.
