Citizenship, Service and Fun Abounds in Pack 53 Cub Scouts

Charities, competitions and parade a busy weekend for scouts

The Cub Scouts from Pack 53 Fords Clara Barton were very, very busy this past weekend. On Friday night they packed 100 boxes with school supplies, personal hygiene products and small toys for the Operation Christmas Child charity. Saturday morning they collected donations from the Fords Clara Barton neighborhood about 6,000 lbs of nonperishable food and necessities for the MCFOODS (Middlesex County Food Operation and Outreach Distribution Services). Sunday morning the robotics teams, RoboCubs1, RoboCub2 and the RoboScouts attended a FIRST Lego League competition at St Joseph High School in Metuchen. Sunday afternoon many of the scouts participated in the Woodbridge Veteran's Day parade in respect for our Veterans. Pack 53 gives a shout out to the Fords Fire Department, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Fords Middle School for sponsoring and supporting their Pack. Thank you.
