Detour On Major Edison Road Begins Tuesday, Details Here

Talmadge Road will be completely closed due to utility work on Tuesday.

EDISON, NJ — Talmadge Road at the Northeast Corridor Train Underpass will be completely closed for to utility work on Tuesday, the town announced. This will go into effect at 5 a.m.

Here are the details on the detour:

  • Traffic travelling on Talmadge Road from New Durham Road will be directed to turn right onto Brunswick Avenue, and then left onto Plainfield Avenue.
  • Traffic travelling on Talmadge Road from Route 27 / Lincoln Highway will be directed to continue on Route 27 south, turning right onto Plainfield Avenue, and then right onto Brunswick Avenue.
  • Businesses on or directly off Talmadge Road between Route 27 / Lincoln Highway and the underpass shall have access to Talmadge Road off Route 27 / Lincoln Highway.
  • Businesses on or directly off Talmadge Road between Brunswick Avenue and the underpass shall have access to Talmadge Road off of New Durham Road, Brunswick Avenue and Ethel Road.

The utility work is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m.
