Edison Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Scheduled For Dec. 3
For those attending the ceremony, social distancing and mask rules apply.
EDISON, NJ — Despite the surge in COVID-19 cases statewide, Edison has decided to go ahead with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony this year.
The Edison Recreation Department and the town council made the announcement on Monday.
The Clara Barton section of Amboy Avenue will also be lit up during the holiday season. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the Heritage, 1015 Amboy Avenue.

For those attending the ceremony, social distancing and mask rules apply. The town said it will be implementing COVID guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New Jersey Department of Health.
Meanwhile, Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday expanded New Jersey's quarantine travel advisory list to include 46 states and territories.
