EDISON, NJ — The polls are closed in Edison and Metuchen and results will start coming in soon for the Edison elections, and a ballot question in Metuchen. All of the offices up for election in Metuchen are uncontested.

All winners are projected and unofficial until results are confirmed by the election clerk. Projected winners will be marked in bold once all precincts have reported results.

Edison Results

Eight candidates are running for four seats on the council. Here are the real-time results with all districts reporting for Edison Township Council, as of 9:35 p.m.:

All of the races in Metuchen are uncontested, and all candidates are incumbents. The projected winners at the time the polls close are: Mayor Jonathan Busch, Borough Council Members Linda Koskoski, Dorothy Rasmussen, and Daniel Hirsch, and School Board members Eric Suss, Jonathan Lifton, and Alicia Sneddon Killean.

Voters will decide whether or not to allocate additional funds for a mental health program in the school district. Those results in, with all thirteen districts reporting:

  • Yes (a vote to fund the program) 1,274
  • No (a vote against funding the program) 1,064
