EDISON, NJ — Last week, dozens of volunteers from Edison and Metuchen joined Sen. Pat Diegnan, Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak, and Assemblyman Sterley Stanley to clean up the Middlesex Greenway in Metuchen and Dudash Park in Edison.

The event brought together community members, including Cub Scout Pack 318 of Edison.

“In total, we collected nearly 30 bags and 200 pounds of garbage left along the old Lehigh Valley Rail Line,” said Karabinchak.

Volunteers met at the Metuchen trailhead in Middlesex Avenue and then split into two groups for the cleanup.

“We have only one earth that we share,” Diegnan said in the video. “It’s so rewarding to see so many young people out here today.”

Assemblyman Stanley praised the dedication of the Cub Scouts who participated in the cleanup.
