Edison Resumes 'Summer Playground Program' For Kids
Registration begins Monday, June 22 for Edison's "Summer Playground Program" for children ages 5-12. Register soon; $50 per kid.
EDISON, NJ — This summer, the Edison "Summer Playground Program" for local children, ages 5 to 12, returns. Only this summer it's only at four parks in town, and children must be wearing masks.
The Summer Playground will run from July 13 to August 14, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. A variety of children’s activities will be held on Edison Twp. playgrounds including arts & crafts, games and special events at the following locations: Elder Park, John Marshall School Playground, Woodbrook School Playground and Yelencsics Park.
The Edison recreation department has been running Summer Playground for more than 50 years. (Edison does not have Township-run summer camps.)

Due to the coronavirus, they are holding it at only four locations this summer with a limited capacity. All children must supply their own mask every day.
There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee for each child registered. Sign up online: www.EdisonNJ.org, click on “Register for Recreation Now” and follow the instructions. The registration form can be brought to the Recreation Department, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison, NJ 08817 (Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (by appointment only).

No mail-in registration is available. Registration begins on Monday, June 22. Online registration is strongly suggested due to limited space.
Registration will end when the playground is full or on July 6.
Space is limited to the first 50 participants that register at each location. All locations will follow CDC and NJ Department of Health COVID Guidelines.
