Edison Man Identified As Pedestrian Fatally Struck By NJ Transit
The 37-year-old Edison resident was struck and killed Tuesday morning near the train station.

EDISON, NJ — NJ Transit authorities have identified the man fatally struck by a train, as a 37-year-old Edison resident.
Praveen Desini was hit by train 3920 just east of Edison station, on Tuesday around 7:20 a.m., said officials.
Desini was on his way to the Edison train station, to commute to his job in New York, when he was hit, according to a GoFundMe page set up for his funeral’s expenses.

The fundraising page described Desini as a “good husband, best dad to a loved kid and best friend to many. His easy going, jovial personality and infectious laugh made everyone around always feel welcome and loved.”
As of Wednesday noon, more than $55,000 was raised. The fundraiser hopes to raise $300,000 to help Desini’s family with expenses.
