EDISON, NJ — Thursday's winter storm dumped 2.8 inches of snow in Edison, as the storm is expected to continue to impact the Middlesex County area.

Edison Public Schools canceled the Middle School Parent Teacher Conference scheduled for Thursday. It has been postponed until Feb. 25.

The school district said that many township homes reported internet outages and made it impossible to host the parent teacher conference.

Meanwhile, the Board of Education caucus meeting on Thursday was also canceled.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for 12 New Jersey counties and a winter weather advisory for the rest of the state.

The storm could be a combined snow and ice storm, one that could knock down wires and cause power outages, according to the National Weather Service.
