Edison Rite Aid To Become COVID Vaccine Site

EDISON-METUCHEN, NJ — Two Rite Aid locations in Edison will administer the COVID-19 vaccines.

New Jersey added Rite Aid stores to its list of public COVID-19 vaccine sites for eligible recipients.

The state's vaccine hub website now has listed a number of stores in towns in New Jersey and asked people to sign up here: https://www.riteaid.com/pharmacy/covid-qualifier

The following locations will also become vaccine sites in Edison:

• Edison: 10 Lincoln Highway
• Edison: 416 Route 1

Gov. Phil Murphy confirmed Wednesday that 70 Rite Aid locations received vaccine shipments. State officials expected Rite Aid to only receive about 7,500 doses in the initial shipment. Read more: 70 Rite Aid, 27 CVS Pharmacies In NJ Beginning COVID-19 Vaccines

The New Jersey Department of Health has logged 93,203 shots administered in Middlesex County. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each require two doses per person.

New Jersey is two months into inoculations. Before the process began, state officials made a goal for 70 percent of New Jersey's adults to get vaccinated in six months.
