Edison's JFK University Medical Center Allows Limited Visitation
The hospital moved its risk level to "yellow" — only one visitor is allowed per inpatient.
EDISON, NJ — The Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Medical Center in Edison is allowing limited visitors to meet loved ones.
Since Feb. 11, the hospital moved its risk level to “yellow” — only one visitor is allowed per inpatient.
All visitors must be 18 years and older and must wear PPE when visiting patients. Visitors must also complete a mandatory symptom check within 24 hours of the visit. Self-screening iPads are available at the hospital visitor entrances.

The following restrictions are still in effect:
- Visitation is suspended for COVID-19 patients, except for circumstances approved by the care team.
- Visitation is suspended for those who are immunocompromised, except for circumstances approved by the care team.
Meanwhile, those who still cannot visit can receive updates and arrange phone and video calls through the hospital’s Keeping Families Connected Program.

Hospitals had restricted visitations in November, as COVID-19 cases surged statewide.
