Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Harry Potter with Raconteur Radio's uniquely immersive, parody interpretation of The Goblet of Fire.
ATTENTION: Potterheads! WizKids! GryffinDorks! Raconteur Radio's got a Potter mouth! Come Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Harry Potter with Raconteur Radio's uniquely immersive, parody interpretation of The Goblet of Fire. Come in costume if you would like and experience the story in a whole new way. The Boy Who Lived LIVE! On Saturday November 17 at 2pm. How good is it? On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s 9 ¾, which as all potterheads know, is as good as it gets. The Radio play features real actors in front of a live audience. The actors wear costumes, the stage features theatrical lighting, golden age radio equipment, fog fx, audience participation and of course hundreds of sound effects! The production stars Jason Jackson, Shawna Lagan, Jeff Maschi, Michael Jarmus, and Alex Dawson from Raconteur Radio. A radio play or audio narrative, what some call an "ear movie," is a story told through dialogue, sound effects, and music. We add costumes, colored spots, a fatboy Elvis mic, a fog machine and a strobe light, then perform it for live audiences at a range of traditional and improvised venues throughout the Tri-State area. Got it? No? Well, come find out for yourself!
