'Law & Order: Organized Crime' Films In Edison

Actor Chris Meloni and the crew of his new show recently filmed at the Middlesex County Police Training Center in Edison.

EDISON, NJ — Det. Elliot Stabler is back! And this time he was spotted in Edison.

Almost 10 years after making an exit from ‘Law & Order: SVU’, actor Chris Meloni will reprise his role as Stabler in the new spinoff, ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’.

On March 4, Meloni and the crew shot at the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Training Center in Edison.

According to Middlesex County officials, filming was organized by the Prosecutor’s office. A few officials got to meet Meloni and pose for pictures with him. They even got a behind-the-scenes look at the new production.

The prosecutor’s office did not provide further details of the shoot.

'Law & Order: SVU' is currently on a midseason break. According to the new show's synopsis, Meloni's Stabler will return to the NYPD to lead the organized crime division "after a devastating loss."

He must rebuild his life and career "in an evolving criminal justice system, facing his past and working to make things right."

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ will premiere April. 1 on NBC in a two-hour crossover episode, beginning at 9 p.m.

In the new show, Stabler with reunite with Mariska Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson.
