Metuchen Man Had Hundreds Of Counterfeit Purses, Police Say
Police say he had more than 300 counterfeit items, such as bags, purses, belts, shoes, jackets and hats, all of which he ordered overseas.
METUCHEN, NJ — Police say a man who used to live in Metuchen owned hundreds of counterfeit items, such as knock-off luxury purses, shoes and clothing.
Cameron Hackett, 26, was arrested last Thursday, Feb. 13, and charged with possession of counterfeit marks, a second-degree crime, as well as forgery and possession of UPC labels (Universal Product Code), announced Metuchen police in a press release.
Police say Hackett had in his possession more than 300 counterfeit items. Officers located bags, purses, belts, shoes, jackets, hats and clothing, all of which were knock offs of high-end designer products.

Police say it appears Hackett purchased the counterfeit goods overseas and had them shipped to him.
