Middlesex Co. Vocational School In Edison Hosts Graduation

On Monday, 40 students attended the ceremony at William Warren Park, Woodbridge

EDISON, NJ – On June 21, 40 graduates of the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies in Edison attended an outdoor commencement ceremony at William Warren Park in Woodbridge.

Ronald Rios, chairman of the County Board of Commissioners, and Commissioner Charles Tomaro attended the ceremony.

Addressing students Rios said that although their final two years “may not have gone as planned,” due to the coronavirus pandemic, the graduates should be well prepared for obstacles in the future.

“Your future has unlimited potential for success. Use the skills you have learned in your time at school to make a positive change in the future you are going to create and shape,” Rios said.

Aditya Agashe of Edison was the valedictorian of the Edison Academy, while the salutatorian was Aditya Chandaliya of Monroe.

The Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School District is the first full-time county vocational school district in the nation. They offer 34 career majors.

According to the U.S. News & World Report, Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies is ranked the best school in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, around 464 graduates of Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools attended three outdoor ceremonies held on June 21.

The graduation ceremony of the Middlesex County Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences in Woodbridge was also held at the William Warren Park.

The commencement ceremony for the East Brunswick and Piscataway Campuses was held back-to-back on the school grounds in East Brunswick, while the Perth Amboy Campus ceremony was held there.
