More Than Half Of Edison-Metuchen Fully Vaccinated Against COVID
The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations. See how Edison and Metuchen fared.

EDISON, NJ — According to data released by the New Jersey Department of Health, Edison and Metuchen have done quite well in getting adult residents vaccinated.
Based on recent data, 5o percent of Edison residents and 54 percent of Metuchen's adult population are now fully vaccinated.
Around 73 percent of adults in Edison and Metuchen have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The percentage of vaccinated residents is higher when it comes to seniors. Seventy-five percent of seniors in Edison and Metuchen are now fully vaccinated.
On Monday, the New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations. The state's COVID-19 dashboard now reveals the percentage of all people, adults, and seniors who have been partially or fully vaccinated in each city and town.

In Middlesex County, Cranbury takes the top spot in vaccine compliance with 67 percent of adults being fully vaccinated and 85 percent receiving one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Monroe Township is a close second, with 60 percent of the adult population fully vaccinated and 74 percent receiving at least one dose.
South Brunswick comes in third with 58 percent of adult residents fully vaccinated, and 78 percent have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
There are still many towns in New Jersey with low vaccination rates. Among them are Trenton (17 percent), Camden (18 percent), Lakehurst Borough (17 percent), and South Toms River (19 percent).
In townships like Princeton, 86 percent of senior residents have been vaccinated. In Avalon, which doesn't have a large youth population, 90 percent of all town residents have been vaccinated.
New Jersey aims to fully vaccinate 70 percent of adults — 4.7 million people — by the end of June. About 3.7 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated as of Wednesday.
