Significant NJT Delays After Gas Leak In Rahway

RAHWAY, NJ — A gas leak near Rahway is causing major delays after suspensions on the Northeast Corridor and the North Jersey Coast Line Tuesday morning, New Jersey Transit said.

The North Jersey Coast Line is suspended between Woodbridge and Newark Penn Station, and the Northeast Corridor were suspended between Metropark and Rahway in both directions between 8:48 a.m. and 9:25 a.m., the agency said.

There are residual delays of 45 minutes in both directions. Cross honoring with buses and PATH will stop at 10 a.m.

In addition to train troubles, there are 15 minute delays on the XBL due to an earlier accident.
