Overturned Truck, Construction Jamming Rts. 1, 287 In Edison
Two separate incidents could make Route 1 and Route 287 messy for Thursday night's commute.

EDISON, NJ — An overturned gravel truck has been jamming Route One in Edison on Thursday, and emergency construction has partially closed the ramp from Route One onto I-287.
The tractor trailer, carrying a load of crushed gravel, overturned on the southbound lanes of Route One near Prince Street around 11:25 a.m. The crash spilled tons of gravel, closing all but one lane southbound and closing the inner-most northbound lane.
NJ DOT has been on the scene cleaning up since, but, as of 2 p.m., the lanes remain closed. NJ DOT is reporting delays of up to 15 minutes.
