Pay For Parking By App In Metuchen Now

METUCHEN, NJ — Shoppers in Metuchen can now use an app to pay for parking, including at the old coin-only meters.

The app, "Park Smarter - Pay By Cell," is available on both the App Store and the Google Play store. Drivers can use the app to scan the QR code on meters, or by entering the zone number on the meter into the app.

The minimum payment through the app is $1 for two hours of parking, plus a $1 processing fee per transaction. You can also extend parking time through the app to up to the maximum time allowed.
