Multiple Lanes Of Rt. 1 South Closed In Edison: Police

EDISON, NJ — Route One southbound is seeing major traffic delays after a car overturned Friday afternoon, Edison police said.

The crash temporarily closed all lanes of the southbound highway at Prince Street, but as of 2:10 p.m., only two remain closed. The traffic backed up onto Route 287 as of 1:40 p.m., local resident Dana Wheeler told Patch.

The driver of the car sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
