Alpine Honors Food Pantry as "Hero of the Month"
Donation of Birthday Bags for children
Continuing to provide support for the region’s non-profit community, Alpine Business Systems named the Flemington Area Food Pantry as “Hero of the Month” for January 2021.
Nominating Alpine employee Steve Santo explained, “The Flemington Food Pantry has been a vital service in Hunterdon County for as long as I can remember, even more so now because of the pandemic and economic crisis. I am so glad we could help contribute to this worthy institution.”
Each month Alpine staff selects a non-profit agency for support. Through employee contributions, social media outreach to clients and colleagues, and posting on www.alpinebiz.com, cash and merchandise is collected for donation. Previous recipients include Raritan Valley Community College and the Adult Day Center of Somerset County.

The Alpine donation to the Food Pantry included 20 children’s Birthday Bags with Legos, Barbies, Super Heroes, Baby Dolls, Bubble Lawnmowers, and other large toys,; paper plates, napkins, birthday candles, tablecloths, streamers, candy; and smaller toys including yoyos, light sticks, dinosaurs, books, crayons, and more!
Jeannine Gorman, Executive Director of the Food Pantry commented, “Support from organizations like Alpine Business Systems allows us to assist every community member in need of food and personal products during the pandemic.” She continued, “I gave a birthday bag to a man whose ten-year-old son was having a birthday the following week. He glanced in the bag and said, ‘he’s going to LOVE this.’ Alpine will allow families to give their child gifts and a family party. It was obvious from this man’s reaction how much it is valued.

The February “Hero of the Month” is Ronald McDonald House of Central and Northern New Jersey. Alpine is helping promote monetary donations and donations to their annual raffle and Alpine will be donating items found on their wish list.
