Friends of the Hunterdon County Library Launch Fundraiser
Because of the pandemic, the Hunterdon County Library has been unable to put together the past two editions of their Annual Book Sale.
HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — The Friends of the Hunterdon County Library (FOHCL) are reaching out to the public for donations to ‘Return the Support 2021’ to Hunterdon County small businesses.
Because of the pandemic, the Hunterdon County Library has been unable to put together the past two editions of their Annual Book Sale, which is their largest fundraiser.
This challenged the FOHCL to think outside the box as the organization looks towards their
next fundraiser, the 2021 Tricky Tray, which will support the library’s programs.

In the past, local businesses donated gift card prizes to past Tricky Trays, but due to current economic challenges, the FOHCL are going in another direction and asking for monetary donations from the community and friends of the library. Every dollar raised will be used to buy gift cards from businesses that will then be offered as prizes in the 2021 Tricky Tray.
The 2020 Return the Support campaign raised over $2,000, which was used to buy gift cards
from over forty Hunterdon County businesses. Those gift cards, along with other donated items,
were offered as prizes in our 2020 Tricky Tray fundraiser, which raised over $6,000 to support the
library’s programs.
