CJVA Girls to Play in USA Volleyball Junior National Championship
Local girls to play in Junior National Championships, USA Volleyball's premier girls' event
Central Jersey Volleyball Academy (CJVA) has three teams that won bids in open regionals to play in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Detroit, Michigan this month. CJVA’s 15 Black and 17 Black teams earned a National bid and the16 Onyx team earned an American bid. The Junior National Championships is USA Volleyball's premier girls' event, hosting more than 1,200 of the top teams from across the U.S.
“All three teams played phenomenal volleyball during the regional tournament and will represent Garden Empire Volleyball Association in Detroit," says Andrea Salazar, CJVA Director of Player Development and 15 Black Head Coach. “We are very proud of their hard work, dedication and sportsmanship.”
The 15 and 17 teams finished 2nd in the region, and the 16 team is ranked No. 1 in the Garden Empire Volleyball Association region. All three teams are attending USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in Detroit, Michigan and 16’s are also attending the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Nationals in Orlando, Fla.

CJVA offers an array of programs throughout the year for boys and girls, including free clinics for boys prior to fall tryouts. Located in East Hanover and Flemington, NJ, CJVA has distinguished itself as one of the top volleyball clubs in the region for both their girls’ and boys’ programs.

About CJVA
Founded in 2004, CJVA is a non-profit community organization dedicated to training and developing student athletes through competitive participation in the sport of volleyball. CJVA operates two state-of-the-art facilities; a 15,000 square foot facility, RACsports, 97 River Rd. in Flemington, NJ and 22,000 square feet of gym space at Diamond City Sports Complex located at 149 Ridgedale Ave in East Hanover.
