Fiery Crash Kills Driver As Truck Strikes Milford Home
The truck struck a guardrail and a utility pole, before hitting the deck of a house and catching on fire.
MILFORD, NJ — A tractor-trailer ran off Mount Pleasant Road and hit the deck of a house Saturday afternoon, in Milford, catching on fire and killing the driver, according to the New Jersey State Police.
The incident happened at around 2 p.m., at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Frenchtown Road.
The truck struck a guardrail and a utility pole, before hitting the deck of a house, and a tree. The cab of the truck became engulfed in flames and the driver was entrapped.

Driving the tractor-trailer was a 33-year-old man from Atlanta, Georgia, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The intersection was closed for approximately seven hours and the cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said.
