Flemington Memorial Day Parade Canceled For 2021
The parade should be returning in 2022, but this year veterans will be honoring war heroes in private events across Flemington.

FLEMINGTON, NJ — The Flemington Memorial Day Parade that usually fills up Historic Main Street won't be happening in 2021 due to the pandemic, according to an update from the Flemington Borough Office Of Emergency Management.
However, the parade should be returning on Memorial Day 2022.
“We really just want the public and the veterans to be safe, and we are just not in place this year to hold the parade in the manner in which it should be held," said Commander Bob Godown, chairman of the Flemington VFW Parade Committee.

Instead of the public ceremony, the VFW Post 7856 will be honoring the war heroes of Flemington with private services on Memorial Day, at memorial sites and churches across Flemington Borough.
The locations of these sites are not being released, and the organizing committee is asking the public to respect those participating in these services by keeping the events private and safe.
