Hunterdon Co. Students Appointed By NJ-7 Rep. Tom Malinowski
Four students from Hunterdon County schools were picked to be part of the congressman's list of NJ-7 Service Academy Appointees.
HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — Representative Tom Malinowski announced today the 15 students from New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District who have been appointed to one of the United States Service Academies for the upcoming fall semester.
Among them are four students from Hunterdon County schools:
- Liam Kephardt, from Delaware Valley Regional High School - United States Military Academy at West Point
- Andrew Zalescik, from South Hunterdon High School - United States Merchant Marine Academy
- Kathleen Horton, from North Hunterdon High School - United States Air Force Academy
- Lilliana Gemma, from Hunterdon Central High School - United States Naval Academy
“It is always an honor to nominate so many incredible students to our nation’s most prestigious institutions,” said Representative Malinowski in a statement. “I congratulate the 15 young men and women from my district who will be attending service academies in the fall and am grateful for their commitment to our country and its ideals. I look forward to learning about their future accomplishments.”

Congressman Malinowski hosted a virtual reception this week to congratulate the students and their families and to thank them for setting out on a path of service.
