NJ Couple Found Dead In Murder-Suicide: Hunterdon Prosecutor

A New jersey couple was found dead this weekend in an apparent murder-suicide, according to authorities.
Kimberly Uvenio, 48, of Readington died from what appeared to be blunt force trauma, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office announced on Saturday. The HCPO said domestic violence apparently played a role in the deaths.
A K9 search for the suspect lead to a shed on the property where Salvatore Uvenio, 52, was also found dead from what appeared to be self-inflicted asphyxiation, according to the HCPO.

An autopsy was to be performed this weekend that would confirm the causes of the deaths, according to the HCPO. The couple had two children who were not at home when the discovery was made.
The couple was found on Friday when Readington Township Police were called to 145 Readington Rd. on a report of an injured woman, according to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to family affected by this tragedy," Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns said. "We ask that the public and media please be respectful of the family and their residence during this time of need."
Families need to be aware of stressful and challenging situations and be aware of the signs of concerning behaviors involved in domestic violence situations, he said.
