REAL IDs Now Available At Flemington Motor Vehicle Commission

FLEMINGTON, NJ — REAL ID driver's licenses are now available at the Flemington Motor Vehicle Commission office.

The commission is adding appointments for REAL IDs as quickly as the "next day," commission spokesperson William Connolly told NJAdvance Media. The Flemington office is one of 17 MVC agencies that are issuing REAL IDs and are appointments.

Connolly said all of these things "allow us to add more REAL ID appointments every day or so." Emails are sent to customers who have signed up for notifications at REALIDNJ.COM as the MVC adds agencies.

After several delays, the MVC was staring down at a deadline to make the driver's license changes available to the public. New Jersey has had an extension to comply with the federal regulations mandating the issuance of REAL IDs by Oct. 10.

After that, if you're a New Jersey resident, you need to eventually get a "REAL ID" if you plan to fly anywhere in the U.S. on or after Oct. 1, 2020.

The Flemington MVC agency is located at 181 B Routes 31 and 202 in Ringoes. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed Sunday.
